My wife, Vicki, and I recently took a 2-week trip back east to visit her parents and see some historic sites. Vicki had long wanted to take me on a cross-country train trip, so we decided to indulge and take the train back, after flying out. We had a private sleeping cabin, meals included, and it was a really fun experience. This isn’t about that though. This is about my eye-opening experience of trying to be environmentally friendly – recycling, not using single-use plastics more than necessary – while traveling. You may also be surprised.
